Join us for restorative yoga, nature immersion, and good vibes at the farm! We will awaken & ground our hearts & bodies with light intuitive yoga movement and mindful meditation while bathing in the sounds of nature on the farm. From there, we will intentionally move through the pasture for an intimate connection experience with the donkeys in their sanctuary to nourish your soul as you take the zen with you for your day!

Capped at 10 people per session, these private experiences are designed to be elevated, intimate, and meaningful, and are intentionally created for small groups. The minimum investment/donation is $55 per person, per session (4 person minimum), with optional add-ons like sound bath healing, reiki energy work, fresh cold-pressed juice bar, and more.

If you aren’t comfortable interacting with the animals, we offer audit options from a distance. Just let us know.

Why Zen Donkey?
Feeling a little over-programmed, overwhelmed, or just a little off? Get your zen on at the farm where we’ll facilitate a slow-down and make space for some zen, featuring our rescued donkeys! ZDF’s private experiences are for anyone who loves nature, a mindful connection to animals, and embraces or seeks a healthy and mindful lifestyle. We’ll gather to heal, nourish, grow, connect, move, and play together (with the donkeys) in nature. Join us in our peaceful sanctuary for meaningful connection, mind/body energy work, and good vibes!

What to Bring
Bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket, closed toed shoes for the barnyard, and water (we encourage you to leave your phone behind and truly be present with the donkeys)! We invite you to bring a journal if that's your thing, and be sure to dress for the weather as our experiences are facilitated outdoors.

When and Where?
Experiences can be arranged on either of our sister farms - in the Greenwood, MO area sanctuary (all outdoor), or our Lone Jack HQ (indoor options). Address will be shared with confirmed guests.

While we choose to gather here to practice rituals for self care, well-being is not confined to one day of the week or a moment in time, but is a longitudinal journey that evolves and grows as we experience life. It’s part of being human to go through many seasons of healing. We learn to embrace all the ups and downs and find different modalities, experiences, and remedies that work for our unique bodies, minds, and hearts. At Zen Donkey, we believe animals (specifically rescued Donkeys) are uniquely healing beings that can greatly enhance the lives of humans. When their presence is combined with intuitive movement, energy healing, and plant-based foods, in a setting inspired by nature, the experience as a whole can be deeply rewarding, healing, and joyful.

Everyone has pain and trauma in some form, despite the individual’s journey. Over the last few years with Covid coming into the picture, we've all gone through a collective trauma that has forced many of us to reset and reevaluate our relationships with ourselves, with others, with nature, and whatever higher purpose or being we may choose to embrace as individuals.

Donkeys have a unique grounding and zen quality about them that we seek to tap more into. From their deeply soulful eyes to their attentive ears, soft bodies, and sturdy hooves, they radiate a special energy that’s hard to describe until it’s experienced in person.

Combining free-form connection, mindful touch, intuitive movement, meditation, Montessori-like enrichment activities, and un-tethered interaction in a natural setting, donkeys and humans come together in a mutually healing experience to enrich body, mind, spirit, and heart.

While we always leave space for free-form connection and play, ZDx embraces a few key elements across our experiences with the donkeys: HEAL, NOURISH, GROW, CONNECT, MOVE, PLAY

Here at Zen Donkey, the well-being of the human and the animal are equally as important, and we take great care to ensure the experience is positive for both. We are not a petting zoo or entertainment venue, but rather a peaceful sanctuary for humans and animals to connect and heal together, and we can’t wait to facilitate memorable and impactful experiences for more supporters in the KC area!

48-hour cancellation policy: Due to the time and expense required to host our experiences, we do not offer exchanges or refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of an experience. If you are unable to make your reservation and do not provide 48 hours notice, we kindly suggest that you donate your ticket value to our nonprofit. If you're unable to join an experience last minute due to illness or other unforeseen hardship, please contact us at info@zendonkeyfarms.com and we will help however we can. By purchasing this experience, you agree to complete a farm liability waiver.
